Mapping out the behaviour space

A key activity was creating customer experience maps of key customer challenges around cooking, to identify common tasks, triggers, pain points, and opportunities.

To do this I led a series of workshops and customer interviews, and distilled the outputs into a series of shareable diagrams that were used to shape feature sprints throughout the various product teams.

I tested every new or updated product feature that I had designed with potential or existing users, utilising both in-person interviews and remote testing.

All outputs were documented in shareable formats and presented to the wider team, and often board and CEO, before subsequent iterations were made to the designs and the feature built by the development team.

Shaping an updated aesthetic

As an ongoing project I led the update of the Cookpad aesthetic to better suit the cultural norms and expectations of Western European users (similar to the work I did with Marriott), with a less tightly-packed UI, more use of curated content, and clearer sense of visual hierarchy.
